Dr. Abraham A. A. Osinubi (Dip.Th.; Dip. Comp. Sc.; M.B.,B.S.; B.Th.; M.Sc.; Ph.D.; FACE) is currently the head of the Department of Anatomy, College of Medicine of the University of Lagos (CMUL), Lagos, Nigeria. He was the Head of Department and Associate Professor, Department of Anatomy, Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM), Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria(2008/2009). He was awarded the prestigious FACE distinction (Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology) in 2009.
His area of specialization is Reproductive Endocrinology. He has bias for Unbiased Stereology, Telemedicine, Endocrine and Reproductive Anatomy. He is actively involved in Entrepreneurship Development and Empowerment programs especially for the youth. He is a motivational speaker.
Dr. Abraham Osinubi has special interest in Curriculum Development. He is a strong advocate of vertical and horizontal integration within and between Basic Medical and Clinical Sciences. In addition, he is a proponent and supporter of the use of Problem-Based Learning in Medical School.
Between 2009 and 2010, Dr. A.A.A. Osinubi successfully supervised four (4) Ph.D. candidates, out of which two (2) successfully defended their theses and awarded Ph.D. degree in 2009. The first Ph.D. ever to be produced from Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM), Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria was supervised by Dr. Osinubi. While in LASUCOM, Dr. Osinubi organized the first Annual Prize-Giving and Open Day, which had since become a reference point.
Dr. A.A.A. Osinubi has published over sixty (60) scientific papers in the fields of Histomorphometry, Endocrinology, Andrology and Phytomedicine within the last ten (10) years. He co-authored nine (9) chapters in the first Interactive Textbook Series on Histology.
He is currently the Secretary-General of the Nigerian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism as well as the Treasurer of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists - Nigeria Chapter.
